Meteora (MET) adalah token fungible di ekosistem Meteora, yaitu protokol likuiditas native Solana untuk membuat, mengelola, dan menumbuhkan market on-chain. MET dipakai sebagai aset akses dan koordinasi untuk produk Meteora seperti DLMM, DAMM v1/v2, dan DBC.
Bagian ini agak rancu karena dokumentasi resmi MET tidak punya halaman founder yang rapi. Yang bisa diverifikasi dengan jelas: token diterbitkan oleh Meteora Comet Limited. Untuk sosok pendiri/proyek, sumber resmi dan liputan publik paling sering mengaitkan Meteora dengan Ben Chow, sementara tulisan resmi Meteora tentang asal-usul proyek juga menyebut nama inti fase awal seperti Meow, Siong, dan Zhen, dan update resmi lain menyebut Ben Chow dan Andrew sebagai co-founders. Jadi jawaban paling aman: issuer resminya Meteora Comet Limited; nama founder yang paling sering dikaitkan secara publik adalah Ben Chow bersama tim inti Mercurial/Meteora.
MET dibuat untuk mendukung ekosistem Meteora sebagai token utility/coordination, supaya pengguna bisa ikut serta dalam program likuiditas, launch, dan fitur ekosistem Meteora. Sementara protokol Meteora sendiri dibuat untuk meningkatkan efisiensi, fleksibilitas, dan fairness likuiditas di Solana.
Kalau yang dimaksud brand/proyek Meteora, rencana resminya diumumkan pada 27 Desember 2022 lewat tulisan “Unveiling The Meteora Plan”. Setelah itu, update resmi Meteora menyebut bahwa Meteora dibuat dan Mercurial disunset pada Februari 2023, tetapi mereka tidak mencantumkan tanggal harian pastinya untuk bulan Februari itu. Kalau yang dimaksud token MET, tanggal resminya adalah 23 Oktober 2025, yaitu saat TGE dan token pertama kali dibuat on-chain/claimable.
Untuk token MET, dokumen resmi whitepaper mencantumkan issuer/head office Meteora Comet Limited di Intershore Chambers, 3rd Floor Geneva Place, Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands VG1110. Dokumentasi resmi yang saya cek tidak menjelaskan secara spesifik lokasi awal pengembangan teknis pertama kali untuk protokol Meteora.
Meteora bekerja sebagai protokol likuiditas non-custodial di Solana yang berjalan lewat smart contracts/program on-chain. Pengguna berinteraksi lewat wallet, lalu transaksi dieksekusi di blockchain Solana. Produk intinya meliputi DLMM untuk likuiditas terkonsentrasi dengan dynamic fee, DAMM v1/v2 untuk AMM dan launch pool, DBC untuk bonding curve launch, plus vault/anti-bot tools. Token MET dipakai sebagai aset akses/koordinasi dalam ekosistem ini, dan ke depan bisa di-stake untuk engagement points.
